Getting Ready for Camp


 

As you are preparing your camper for the summer, you have many details to manage and papers to keep up with. To assist you, we have provided information below that you may find useful.

COMPLETING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS:

Shortly after confirming your child’s acceptance into our program, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with some materials that will need to be completed and mailed back to Talisman.

The E-Mail Indicates that there are three steps to completing the registration:

  1. Completing and mailing the paperwork that accompanies your confirmation e-mail.

  2. Completing our online medical form and making arrangements for any medication your child may be on. (See medical section below)

  3. Upon receipt of an invoice, mailing physical copies of medical forms, along with any activities waivers specific to your child's program along with payment.

Please note that materials for all summer programs must be received by May 15th.

MEDICAL FORMS AND ARRANGEMENTS FOR PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION

Your child’s health and safety is our number one priority at camp. From the training of our staff to our ACA accredited camp facilities, our program revolves around the concept that children can thrive when challenged appropriately in a safe environment.

To help ensure that your child is healthy from day one, parents are asked to complete the following steps:

  1. Talisman uses a secure online medical form. To login, use the same login information you used to initially apply for camp. After completing the form, please remember to print and send the permission to treat waiver as well as the physical form.

  2. If your child is taking prescription medication, accuracy and appropriate packaging are critically important. For this reason, Talisman works with CampMeds to set up medication packaging for camp. If your child is taking prescription medication, please register with CampMeds.

  3. When sending in your child's health history and physical forms, please remember to enclose a front and back copy of your health insurance information.
